HUFS initiated five official changes in its grade evaluation scoring system for both campuses in September.

First, the limit for retaking courses was previously six times, but that limit has become 18 credits instead. Second, the Type B evaluation system will allow up to 40 percent of class grades to be either an A or A+ and a lecturer may autonomously decide the number of students to receive scores within B-F levels unless the total is less than 60 percent. Third, the limit of four students has been established for cancelling classes for departments in which less than 21 students are enrolled.

Fourth, for Seoul Campus, the highest level of English communication classes will adopt a Type B evaluation which is evaluated based on the criteria mentioned above. Fifth, for Global Campus, new stricter standards will determine if a class is to be classified as a foreign language-based lecture.

The new limit on retaking courses will be applied from the first semester of 2017. Except for the limitation change, all the other changes will immediately take effect beginning with this semester.
