Photo Essay

Haebangchon, a town formed on Namsan hill in Seoul, looks quite different these days. This town is located at Yongsan and was established in 1945 when Korea became independent from Japan. Most of the people who settled here were from outside of the country, North Korea, or refugees at the time of the Korean War. Unlike the era when this town was built, nowadays, you can see some exotic restaurants and cafes that serve foods from various regions. As a result, you can see the harmony of the original and the new. Now, Haebangchon has become a more charming place where you can capture the moments of how South Korea has developed.
